Snowmobiling!

This last weekend we snowmobiled up to my sister and brother in laws cabin and stayed for a few night. It was alot of fun. The only problem that we had was that when we got up there the furnace had exploded. It smelled like gas when we pulled up on the snowmobils and it just got worse as we walked inside. We soon noticed that all of the vents had been blown completely off of the floor and were laying in the middle of the room! I guess the furnace exploded. We were very lucky that the entire cabin was not completely burned to the ground. So we spent the weekend without any heat. It was cold the first night because we had to air out all the gas before starting a fire but once we got the fire going and had the next day to let the sun in to warm up the cabin we were able to keep it pretty warm. I think the first night was in the 40's and by the last night we were up to 60 degrees! We were all dressed warm and were prepared so it was not a big deal at all. This is Jordan on one of the snowmobills

We took the nephews sledding

All the kids got in the sled and we would tow them up the mountain and then let them sled down, this is my mom and Niki on the fourwheller.....it is less bumpy than the snowmobile so it was safer for us pregnant people to take the fourwheller.

Luke, Dallin, Bridger, and Logan in the Santa sleigh behind the four wheeler

Me and Jordan on the snowmobile, I couldn't ride much and when I did Jordan had to go really slow and be careful when it was bumpy but it was still fun.

This is Heidi with Bridger passed out on her. I thought this picture was so stickin cute!

Congrats Jordan!

So as many of you know Jordan has been trying to get hired onto the UFA Fire Department full time for quite awhile now. If you didn't know, it is a huge deal. It is a very intense hiring process. Jordan took the written test and placed #8 out of 650 people, with missing only 3 questions. He then got called in for an interview and placed #2 out of 30 people (i think). He then went to one more interview with the chiefs and hiring board and then they send a list out of the top 8 people the recommend for hire and Jordan was placed #1! He did so amazing, I am so proud of him. He then had a physical test which is just pass or fail and he passed it easily. As many of you know Jordan's dad is also on the fire department and is in a pretty high position. The hiring board called his dad and asked his dad if he would call Jordan and offer him the position as a full time fire fighter for UFA. This is pretty much Jordan's lifetime dream so it was totally icing on the cake when his dad was the one who called him to ask him if he would accept the position! Anyways Jordan will start boot camp on March 16th (i think) and it lasts for 3 months. He will probably be at alot of different stations all over Salt Lake Valley, it will be an awesome experience for him and he will be doing it the rest of our lives! Congrats Jord!

AND IT ALL STARTS!

As many of you already know Jordan and I are expecting! We are so excited and thrilled to be in this situation and are so blessed and lucky! I have been waiting to post this until we heard the heartbeat and we didn't hear it at our first doctors appointment. This worried me alot and I was really stressed out. We were only 9.5 weeks along at our first appointment though so it was only a 50/50 chance we would hear it. I have been super sick and all I have to say about that is that Zofran is a miracle drug, I would not have been able to survivie without it! So we went in for our second appointment at 14 weeks and finally heard the heartbeat! It was so amazing, and the biggest relief ever I cannot even explain it. Now I am in my second tri with the miscarriage rate less than 5%. I am even starting to feel a little better depending on the day!

We told our families when we were 6.5 weeks along which happened to be Christmas Eve! It was so much fun! These are Jordan's parents.

This is my families reaction, everyone is completely suprised. My little brother as you can see is freakin out! It was alot of fun telling everyone.

This is us at 4 weeks along. I am making Jordan take all the pictures once a month with me so we can see if his belly gets bigger as well......He has recently started protein shakes and eating healthy and working out a ton, hmmmmmm, Look forward to next months picture and we'll see if he is loosing :)

This is me at 8 weeks along

This is our most recent one at 12 weeks along. I will probably be posting our pics every 2 months unless I get realy ambitious. We have started painting the babies room, so far the bottom half is brown, we need to wait to find out what the gender is to finish decorating it though. It is so much fun being pregnant and sharing this experience with Jordan, he is such a great husband. Since I got pregnant I haven't done the dishes once and done few loads of laundry, he sweeps and vaccuums as well he is amazing! I can't wait til I am feeling really well and have time to actually clean our house again, its getting kinda gross... even with Jordan cleaning it, it needs a deep clean. That is it for now and I will keep you posted! We find out what it is in about 5 weeks!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

This picture is so cute and I couldn't help but post it. Jordan always kisses me on the forehead and I love it. So it reminded me of him. He is so cute. For Valentines Day this year I am sadly working :( But don't worry because it has been a fabulous Valentines and I am thinking maybe I should work every Valentines Day! I not only got one day of perfectness but 2! We decided to go out on the 13th for our Valentines Day since I was working so we went to Chilli's for dinner and then Jordan suprised me and took me to the movie theatre and wouldn't let me know what movie we were seeing. He hid it all the way until the movie started and I guessed, it was fun. We saw "He's just not that into you" and it was so funny and cute also I loved it. We then went home and in the morning he took me out to breakfast at IHOP and then took me to downeast and bought me some much needed new pants and a new church skirt, oh and also their long sleeve shirts and other tshirts are on clearance for $10 right now plus they are 50% off! So I got a long sleeve shirt too. It was so fabulous! So then he let me take a nap and just cuddled with me the whole time and then sent me to work :( But don't worry it isn't over! He then brought me up training table and we were able to eat dinner together. It was awesome. I have the best husband ever! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day! Look forward to my post on Monday it will be fabulous! I didn't want to post it tonight because I need to post the pictures at home along with it.

Draper Temple Open House

So on friday night we were able to attend the Draper Temple Open House. It was really awesome. My sister got tickets for our entire family to go so it was really fun that we got to see the temple with my little brother and also with our little nephews. It was definately a once...or twice in a lifetime experience. We first met in a chapel where they showed us a video and then we were bussed up to the temple. It was so beautiful and amazing. Even if you are not LDS you should definately go see it. It was cool we saw some people that we know there too it was sweet. We then went out to dinner at Olive Garden which was fabulous. I sadly only had friday off this last weekend so that basically was our weekend. I am glad that we got to spend it at the Temple and I look forward to going to it when it opens! PS. Advise to anyone who is going to go, go a little early, I would say like an hour early especially if your appointment is late because you won't get done until late. We got there at 7pm and finished just after 9pm, our appointment was at 8:20.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This is our fireplace and Christmas village with our stockings

This is our new couch we got for Christmas....we really got it for Thanksgiving but it was our Christmas present

Santa came to our new house! He knows where we live.

We went over to Jordan's families for Christmas Eve pj's and cookie decorating, this is us by their tree in our jammies

And we did a fancy Christmas Eve lunch of soup and salad done by my mom with my immediate family where we exchanged gifts. These are some of the exotic dancers that my mom must have hired, they showed up with my sister with slinky's???

This is probably Jordan's favorite Christmas gift, my brother bought him Oakley's. He loves them. Thanks Jake!

On Christmas we woke up at home and hurried and opened our presents then went over to Jordan parents and opened presents there. Jordan got RockBand and I got a bunch of stuff, clothes, cadles, a really cute Welcome sign, a comphy sweat outfit and alot more. Thanks so much again Ross and Shelli! I have the best in-laws ever! We then went to my dad's side of the family's brunch, it was fun and we got alot of cute things. We then went and said Hello to Jordan's grandma and then hurried off to another party. Our last party was my mom's side of the family and I only got to stay for the first part of that and then I had to skip off to work. It sucked but it was ok cuz most everything was over. I read the entire Christmas Box that night and it ended up being a really good Christmas, besides the fact that I was dead tired at work from being up since 7am running around.

For New Years Eve we just kinda chilled at Jordan's parents house and played games and lit off fireworks, it was nice and relaxing. We then slept over at my mom's house since it was so late. I hope everyone had as good of holidays as we had! It was alot of fun! We also had another Christmas suprise but I will post about that in a week or so and let everyone know. Happy Holidays!!!

2 Years Down...... Forever to Go!

So as you may have guessed it was our 2 year anniversary on Friday the 19th! We decided to go stay at the anniversary inn on Thursday night and then go to St. George for friday and Saturday night. The anniversary inn was great! We stayed in the 49er room (bc it had a fireplace). We went out to dinner down town at Tucci's, and if you haven't been there in a long time like me then you would be suprised to hear that it has become a really nice formal restraunt, we had wine glasses and the manager came and spoke french to us and it actually reminded me of Macaronni Grill. It was lots of fun. We were then going to go see the lights at temple square but we chickened out cuz it was too cold and it was pretty late by the time we finished dinner. So we went back to anniversary inn and had a fabulous rest of the night. We woke up in the morning and had the best breakfast in bed ever and we were on our way out at about noon. Then to our dismay a terrible storm hit as most people know and we decided that we probably shouldn't drive down to St. George since it was supposedly worse down there then it was here. So we went Christmas shopping and more shopping and more shopping! What a fabulous anniversary for me! ......Jordan didn't really enjoy it though. We then went home and watched Maid in Manhattan and had a feast of hot dogs, nachos, burritos, bread with vinegar and oil to dip it in, and don't forget the fritos and bean dip. If you know me at all you know that I love to feast! So once again what a great anniversary for me! Saturday we woke up and layed around and then went into Salt Lake for some more shopping! We went to Jordan's parents house then shopping then we got Cafe Rio for dinner and went and ate it at my parents house. It was so much fun. . . .for me. I think that Jordan was kinda bummed out that we spent our anniversary like this but it was nice just to have the whole weekend off to spend with each other without other things planned that we needed to do. It is amazing that we have been together for 2 years already! It was such a great day and it has been such a great two years. I can't wait for the next year to come, who knows what will happen! I am so lucky that Jordan married me and that we are able to be together forever. I love him so much and he does so much for me and cares about me so much. I mean what other guy would take his wife shopping all day on their anniversary? Seriously he loves me too!

A Change of Scenery

As most of you probably already know I have taken a secretary position at the hospital. It is not really a change of scenery it is more a limited scenery now. It has some ups and downs to it. Some of the benefits would be that my body no longer hurts. I think I was getting worse and worse back pain every week but I am actually healing which is good. Another benefit would be I have alot more time on my hands to do homework, or read, or do projects. The one thing that I have been having the hardest with though is the sitting at my computer, at my desk for 12 hours! I am having a hard time adjusting to being in one spot and only getting up and walking once every few hours. I can feel the inches gaining on my butt. So here I am 4am blogging. I was reading a book but it was making me start to tear up so I had to stop reading before my waterworks came. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great. Ours was fabulous. We started off the day at noon with Jordan's family where we took family pictures and feasted prepared by the family and Shontelle. Thanks again Shontelle. We then proceeded to my family where we had another Thanksgiving feast prepared by Lisa. Thanks Lisa! It was all so good!!! I felt like I gained ten pounds that day. The next day though I got the flu! It was horrible and I threw my guts out for about three days. I think I lost all my Thanksgiving weight which was not neccessarily a bad thing. Jordan soon got the flu after me and then his whole family basically got it too. Sorry everyone! So after I finally got feeling better and had time between finals and work I finally put away my Halloween decorations and put up our Christmas ones. We got a Christmas tree and even put up lights last weekend. I will have to put some pictures on to prove it. So that is the update for right now. I hope everyone had as great a Thanksgiving as we did and I hope you all have a great Christmas!

Halloween Weekend!

For Halloween we had Jordan's family over for pizza and trick or treating and we had such a fun time. Kerryne and her kids are here from Cyprus now and they came and their costumes were so cute! Me and Jordan then dressed up as a Border Patrol and a Mexican and went to Barrett and Erin's Halloween party. It was alot of fun and it was so good to see everyone. On Saturday morning we went 4 wheeling with Shane and Rachael and had a blast. THe boys found a pond and alot of mud and had some fun in the mud. It was such a fun weekend we are so blessed to have a great family and great friends, and we got to spend the whole weekend together which rarely happens so it was so nice!

Make Sure You Keep Your Reciets!

So a few days ago I stopped by Fed-Ex and explained that I wanted to have some labels made with my name and adress on them. I needed to send out wedding shower invitations for my soon to be sister-in-law's shower that next morning and didn't want to write my return address on them all. So the lady helping me get everything made up in the computer and informs me that they will not be done til late that night.(How long does it take to print one page of labels?) Anyways I said that I was just going to have to pick them up in the morning on my way in because I was not staying in Salt Lake that late. She then informs me that the total comes to $16.40! For one page of labels! Again I calmed myself and asked why. Well it cost 15.00 to make the program to print the labels and then 0.50 cents per page. She then tells me that she will give me the program so that if I ever need labels again I can bring in the CD and I won't have to pay the $15.00 again. This made me happy. She then asks me if I want to pay right now or when I pick them up. I agree to pay right now and pay with my Visa card. I signed on the machine and the receit printed with my huge scribbly signature on it. I laugh at it and go to the car to go home. The next morning I am driving in and I stop at the gas station to get a drink and doughnut for breakfast. I come back out to the car to realize that I have a missed call. It was from Fed-ex telling me that I have my printed labels ready for me to pick up. I then drive to the store and walk in. A middle-aged aggitated lady is behind the counter helping someone. When it is my turn I tell her that I have some labels to pick up under my name and the lady replies, "You were supposed to pick these up last night!" I explain to her that I was going to pick them up in the morning. She then says, "Well I called you this morning and you didn't answer your phone!" Seriously she has to be kidding.....nope! I tell her sorry I went into the gas station to get a drink. She then goes and gets my labels with a moody hugh. She brings them back and says, "Ok that will be $16.40." I explain to her that I already paid for them. She then says, "Well it doesn't say that you did" I say, "Um well I did pay for them", She says, "Well how do I know that cuz it says you didn't do you have your receit?", I am getting really frustrated by this time not only because it is early morning but I am dealing with some lady who must be going through metapose. So I say, "No I don't usually keep my receits and I sure know that I am not paying for this again!" She then decides to take things up with the manager and leaves, she comes back a few minutes later and says that they can look it up with the card I used so I explain that I used a Visa. She then leaves and 5 or so minutes she comes back and says, "We don't have any record of you paying for this", I then say that I will go check my car for the receit as a last chance. So I go to my car and by some miracle there is the receit in my cup holder! I take it in proudly and she says, "Honey that is not a receit that is a claim check!" Seriously I am about to rob the freakin store at this point! I say, "This is my receit! It has the amount and my freakin signature at the bottom!" She says, "Well how do I know that this isn't a fake receit?" Seriously? Like I have a little fake receit maker in my car? What the heck? So I say, "You know what take that up with your manager but I am taking my labels and leaving!" She then says hold on and goes back to the managers office. She then comes back and says, "Well I guess this is a real receit so you are free to go". I practically ran out the door. I was so frustrated. Anyways so 1st lesson: Don't wake up early in the morning and if you do don't try to do anything productive. 2nd Lesson: Don't go to Fed-ex on Friday mornings aroung 9am. 3rd Lesson: Keep all your receits!

Ter's Wedding/ Girls Night!!

SO Teresa is Married!! She got married on October 10th last friday and it was amazing. She looked so amazing. Then after the wedding Hayley, Julie and I went and stayed at the Hilton downtown for a girls night and then went to a session at the SLC Temple in the a.m. It was so fun. We decided to take a picture of us jumping in midair on the bed but it took many tries.....we decided to do this at about 2:30am and didn't wake up till 11:22am when our checkout time was noon! Luckily the cleaning lady was very nice and let us stay a few minutes late, her name was Shakika! Anyways here is some of our pics of us trying to jump on the bed and then finally getting it. There is also a pic of the temple. It was so amazing I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go!

Fast St. George Trip!

So 2 weekends ago Jordan and I decided at about 10pm on saturday night that we wanted to go to St. George. It was such a blast it was exactly what we needed. We both needed to get away. To our dismay it rained pretty much the whole time and that was sad but good thing that you can still shop in the rain! We also went to a movie too. Anyways since it wasn't pretty and perfect to take pics here are the only ones we took in the car on the way to the movie.
