Last Goodbye to Jakey

We went to Lake Powell for a weekend for the last goodbye to my brother Jakey who is going on his mission to the Concepcion South, Chile mission! We are so excited for him but I have to be honest and tell you that he left about 2 and a half weeks ago and I have missed him so much! This is the first time that I can get myself together to post these pics and write these things without crying. We love him so much and I have spent everyday and almost every minute with him up until the time he left so our parting was very hard but it is such a blessing to have him on a mission! He will be an awesome missionary! These are pics from Lake Powell and just of Jakey! This is me and Pais swimming! My mom skiing Paisley=Alfalfa :) Jordan doing a head dive....I don't really know what he was doing Me getting sweeeet air! hehe Jake attempting a flip Jordan getting sweet air Logan showing us to hang loose while knee boarding Luke hanging loose My dad wakeboarding....he made it in and out of the wake this trip! Happy Birthday Paisley!

Paisley turned 1 yesterday! I can't believe that she is 1 already. It has seemed like such a short time and I swear it was only a month or two ago when I was in the hospital room holding her for the first time. She is such a blessing in our lives and we love her more than we could ever imagine was possible! We are so lucky and we have so much fun with her. We had a big party for her at the park and ate food and had a big water fight. We played tennis and decorated cupcakes also. Paisley got so many fun cute presents! We are so lucky to have such great family and friends. Thanks so much everyone! It was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Paisley!

Done for now

Ya I am done with school for the semester. I am not sure how I did on my classes. They were extremely difficult and I studied a lot and worked alot at them. I barely missed any classes which is a great thing for me! I am hoping that I just did well enough that I don't have to retake them but we will see. I am happy that I am done for the semester! Wahoo. I will now be updating my blog more often and my favorite part is that I can now read books again! I am re-reading all of the Harry Potter books and I am a little ways into book #1. I am thinking about getting a part time job now that I am out of school but I haven't decided yet, if you know of any good super flexible part time jobs let me know. Paisley's 1st Birthday is on tuesday so look forward for fun cute pictures!

Congrats Marathoners

My mom and dad and my uncle and my mom's friend Ellen ran a marathon today and they all did so fantastic. It was truly amazing and fun to watch! Here are some pics from today and then this is a video of tonight, this is what my mom does in her sleep. Contrary to most people's beliefs not only dogs run in their sleep. Truly hilarious.

Some of my favorite things these days

So some of my favorite things these days are food co-ops. If you have never tried them I would suggest it they are a fun way to eat healthy foods and something to look forward to every week. We used to do a food co-op called bountiful baskets. The way they work is every Monday you log in and buy your basket at 8pm sharp (if your late it fills up) you then pick up your basket full of fresh fruits and vegetables. They are always amazing and they have everyday items that you love to buy at the grocery store but also fun more special items that you don't buy on a usual basis. We have been doing this for a month or two now and we love it. But an old friend from my parents ward sent me an email this week and she has started a new food co-op through muir farms. We are trying it out this week but I have read the info and it seems to be a lot better. It costs a little more but you get more fruits and vegetables and they also have some really fun specialty items such as pasta and a few items that change every time. This food co-op is every other week instead of every week, and it is supporting muir farms which is local to Utah I believe. If any of you are interested you should give it a try for a week and see how you like it. Seriously the food is so good. I also forgot to mention that they post good recipes on the site once you buy your basket with the foods that you were given. Oh and the biweekly one from muir farms is $35 and my friend just priced out her basket at the store this week and it was over $70 worth of food! That is a tremendous savings! Check out her blog and decide if you would like to try it! It is http://www.muirfreshharvest.blogspot.com the link is also on the side of my page under my friends. Come join in the savings and healthy eating!

Finally a post.......I know!

So we have been busy the last few months. School started for me and it is going well so far. I am having a hard time trying to find time to study but other than that school is going great. I am so thankful for my family and for Jordan's fam for always babysitting Paisley so I can go to school! Thanks so much! Paisley has been walking since she was 10 months old on the very day! She is now walking all over and is actually getting pretty fast, it is only a matter of time until she is running. I went to the Backstreet Boys concert with Teresa and Hayley and it was pretty much the most awesome concert that I have ever been to and probably will ever go to besides the Backstreet Boys Millenium comcert 10 years ago!We went to the cabin for a week and it was so fun besides the fact that Paisley did not like the horses. And the best news of all..... Isaac and Wendy had their baby boy and named him Sam and he is the cutest thing in the entire world!!! Now I am going to let all the pictures do the talking so enjoy!
Ps check out critters cancer page to see how my nephew is doing! He is seriously so cute and wonderful I love him!

So Much to Tell

Alot has happened in the last month or so since I have last blogged. Paisley is crawling like a champ and follows me all over. She is pulling herself up on anything and everything and just standing up screaming or laughing it is quite funny.
Another big change is that we have decided to rent our house out! It is totally crazy but I know that we are doing the right thing. We have been thinking about it for a little while and we found some great renters and it came sooner than expected. We are living at my parents house for the summer saving up money to pay for my school and do finish things on the house like sod and saving up in case anything happens. We moved in last weekend and so far things are going really great. We are so blessed to have such wonderful support. I am hoping to get school done and we will see how renting our house out goes. It is sooooo nice to be back in the city though! There are so many things that I no longer take for granted like being so close to the grocery store or having a gym nearby or being able to go out to dinner and be back home within an hour. So we will see where the future takes us. It is kinda exciting. Paisley has done great with the change except for the one challenge is that she keeps getting ear infections. I will post some pics soon of Paisley and us.
The last thing to tell is my p90x challenge. I have not done too great at it. Once we decided to move I stopped exercising and doing it everyday mostly because I was just busy doing other things while Paisley was napping and since she is crawling now it is nearly impossible to do a whole workout without her getting in the way or trying to chase her down. Now that the move is all over and things are settled down again I am starting P90x back up. I even have a coach for this time around, so wish me luck. If you have any adivise or anything please let me know I need all the help I can get. Well that is all. I will post pictures soon!

Just some pics

Paisley is 6 months old today and she now sits up by herself, rolls over, and right now she pulls herself up on her hands and knees and rocks. She cannot crawl forward but she is starting to master going backwards especially on hardwood floors! She loves to go out in her stroller and with her red suit to keep her warm she just blends right into the stroller. Thanks to Jordan's sister Kelcey who gave Paisley fingernail polish for Christmas I painted her fingernails and toe nails for the first time a few weeks ago and they turned out so cute even though my skills are not that great. I had to post this video cuz it is so funny. I was trying to get a video of her laughing so that I could email it to my best friend Julie who lives in AZ and this is the video that I ended up with.Ignore my sounds in the backround I was trying to make her laugh and I sound kinda crazy.

How it's going....

So I am on week 3 of my body and soul task force. It is going good so far and I am starting to see results. I actually haven't lost that much weight yet but I can tell that my body is changing so I am hoping that I am just gaining muscle. I work out everyday and the work outs are anywhere between an hour and an hour and a half. The diet is going good. I did start drinking Dr. Pepper again :( I will try to stop. Right now I am only drinking it rarely. Dr. Pepper has always been my downfall. Jordan is looking great. He has lost close to 5 lbs and he is getting alot more toned. It is fun to work out with each other cuz we push each other and make sure we are doing the exercises right. We are on schedule on the Book of Mormon and we read usually 2-3 chapters a night. Along with these routines I have created a cleaning plan to try and keep my house in good shape, this is what it is. Monday: Bathroom, wash bed sheets. Tuesday: sweep and mop floors. Wednesday: Vacum. Thursday: laundry and garbages. Friday: Dust and windows. Saturday: Sweep, mop, and vaccum. This plan is working great except I am thinking I need to do laundry more than once a week. This has been nice because instead of spending one complete day a week cleaning my whole house I just do a little everyday and it stays clean throughout the week...actually I do a better job doing it this way also. So the only negative thing with all this is with my blood. I don't know who heard but after I had Paisley I had a blood clot in my lung and woke up at 4am and couldn't breath. Most people die from these so I do consider myself very lucky. I have been on a blood thinner medication and I have to go get my blood checked once a week usually. Since I have started exercising so much it has thrown my levels off and I've had to start getting shots twice a day and increase my dose by almost double to keep my blood thin where is needs to be. Hopefully I don't throw another clot! It is very scary!

90 day body and soul task force

We had a great Christmas and New Years. We spent it with family and friends. My friend Julie was here for the holidays so it was alot of fun to see her and spend a little bit of time with her. I love her! For new years Jordan and I have taken on a challenge for our new years resolutions. First we will do the entire program of P90x and follow the diet plan. If you don't know this is a 90 day program and it is pretty intense. Our next 90 day challenge is that we are going to read the Book Of Mormon in 90 days. It all starts today. It will be fun. My brother and sister and a few other family members are doing this with us so it will be good to have support. So this is for me more than anyone so if you want to keep reading then go ahead but I won't be offended if you skip this part. These are my goals and how I will accomplish them.
-Loose 18 lbs
do p90x everyday
follow the p90x diet plan
throw away or give away all junk food in my house
completely stop drinking carbonation and caffeine
-Read the Book of Mormon in 90 days
Read every night when I am putting Paisley to bed
Engage in reading and get caught up in the story
Never skip a night, try to get ahead
-Finish the p90x program and the Book of Mormon on April 3rd 2010
Never skip a day
Find meaningful uplifting quotes for everyday to inspire body and soul
Review these goals at least once every 2 weeks to make sure I am on track
Happy New Years!!!
