Halloween, Julie, and St. George!
My bestest friend ever Julie flew in from Arizona today for Paisley's blessing and got to spend Halloween with me and hang out a few days. It was so wonderful! I have really been blessed with great friends! For Halloween since neither of us had husbands cuz they were in work and school we went to our friends party as sister missionaries. Our other bestest friend is Hayley and she is on a mission, so we both put pieces of paper over our tags that said sister Jensen. It was alot of fun! Thanks Ters for having such a fun great party!
So Julie stayed with me for a night when Jordan was working and we did Yoga which was very challenging and fun. Then me and Jordan took off to St. George for the weekend for his cousin's wedding. Paisley went swimming for the first time. She also got to spend alot of time with family and her great grandparents. It was a fun trip!

Blessing Day
So we blessed Paisley today and it was so wonderful! Jordan did a fabulous job and I am so lucky to be married to such a great man. As you know in the previous post my mom and my grandma and I made her blessing dress out of my mother-in-laws wedding dress. Thanks Shelli for letting us cut it up and make her such a beautiful dress! It was alot of fun to have everyone come out to our house and our ward. Thanks everyone for making the trip out here, your support means alot to us!

Girls Trip!
So two weekends ago my mom, sister, sister-in-law, and my grandma went down to St. George for the weekend. I took Paisley and my sister took her baby Critter and at times it was so ridiculous with all the crying we just had to laugh at it. Driving to St. George is definately not as easy as it was before the baby! We saw the play Aida at Tuachaun which was fabulous and did alot of much needed shopping! It was definately a girls trip. I am so glad that it worked out. I didn't take much pictures but this is one of all of us at Tuachaun right before the play.

2 months old
So I have heard from many people now that it is time to update my blog. Not much had happened we have just been enjoying learning how to be parents. Paisley had her 2 month check up and she is now 12 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long(she is a shorty, she now on the percentage chart finally!). I have been making a blessing dress for her out of my mother-in-laws wedding dress and it is coming along great! I got my grandma and my mother to help me with it and I have learned how little I really know about sewing! The two pictures of her are one next to critter who is 3 months older and then one of what she is doing right now while I am blogging. I hope you are all looking forward to a Halloween blog of our costumes! I can't wait cuz Julie will be in town so I will be spending time with her! PS I had to post this picture to let everyone know that Jordan still is giving Molly her much needed attention despite the fact that we have a newborn.

Newborn Pictures

Our friend in our ward Lindsay Fagerlund offered to do our newborn pictures and we are so lucky because she did such a great job! If you would like to see her website and photography business go to http://www.seenboxphotography.blogspot.com there is also a link to it on my friends list.
My relief society presidency dropped by a little present a few days ago and with it they dropped off this cute little story that I wanted to share with the newborn pictures.
My Day Old Child
Author: Carol Lynn Pearson
My day old child in my arms
with my lips against her ear
I whispered strongly, "How I wish,
I wish that you could hear,
I've a hundred wonderful things to say"
(A tiny cough and a nod)
"Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow
so I can tell you about God."
My day old baby's mouth was still
and my words only tickled her ear,
but a kind of light passed through her eyes,
and I saw this thought apear,
"How I wish I had a voice and words,
I've a hundred things to say,
before I forget I'd tell you of God,
I left him yesterday."

Paisley Belle Fowlks

So it all started on Wednesday night. I had a Dr. appointment on Thursday and I was hoping big time that I would be able to schedule my induction so on Wednesday I went and got my hair done and pedicures with my sisters and mom it was fabulous. On Thursday at my appointment the Dr. said that I was still only dialated to a 1. I went home sad. I worked my last two shifts on Friday and Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon we head into Salt Lake for dinners with families. We went to Jordan's parents first then to my parents and ate huge dinners. I then was feeling super crampy and I thought it was just because of all the food I ate but as we paid more attention we realized that I was having very distinct pain coming and going about every 6-7 minutes, so we headed into the hospital. At the hospital I was only dialated to a 2 so they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me home. We went home and I completely zonked out until 4:30 am I woke up in horrible pain having contractions every 3 minutes or so. We went back into the hospital and I was then dialated to a 4 so they admitted me and started my IV and my epidural and I was happy. The epidural was amazing. So to make the rest of the story short I layed in the bed for hours and hours and barely progressed at all. At around 3pm Paisley's heart rate started dropping with the contractions and they got worried. Her heart rate continued to get worse and I still wasn't progressing. THey let me know that if I didn't progress fast sometime soon I might have to have a c-section. Finally at about 5pm I went from being a 6 to complete and ready to push. I pushed for 20 mins and she was here. It wasn't that bad but it was still scary. The cord was wrapped around her shoulder and she came out face up, which the Dr let me know is equivalent to pushing out a baby 2 lbs bigger! But everything went great! She is now doing amazing and is so beautiful! I can't believe the miracles and everything that happened to get this baby here and I am so grateful to have her now. We love her more than anything! Here are some pics from everything. We just took our newborn pics today so I will load those on here when I get them, it will probably be about a week til I get them though. Welcome Paisley Belle!

We are ready and waiting!
This is my 36 week picture and the last picture that I will take until I am leaving to go to the hospital! It is so exciting thinking that the next picture on my camera will be me right before I am going to deliver and then it will be of our baby after she has come into the world. This has been the craziest experience with the best ups and downs that I have ever had. I hope that I can endure these last two weeks. I was hoping to get induced at 39 weeks. I am super nervous about going into labor and being home alone or even just at home when my water breaks because average time to the hospital is about 45 mins, but it depends on traffic and what time of day it is. I want an epidural so I am nervous about getting to the hospital in time. So I would like to be induced at 39 weeks which is next friday but I am only dialated to a 1 so I am so far not favorable. They told me at my last appointment that I may have to go all the way to my due date. I have been walking stairs for 20mins three times a night while I am at work and going for long walks but they haven't helped. I hope that my body starts to progress a little more this next week but we will see. These are picutes of the nursery that is finished and the last picture is of our bassinet. My dad made it when my mom was pregnant for the first time so everyone in my family has been in it and my sister has used it for her kids and I think that even some of my cousins have used it when they were babies so it is very special to us and we are grateful to have such a meaningful item for our baby to sleep in. The next post will hopefully be after I have delivered! See ya then!
